FBG has partnered with Marcus Evans

We're happy to announce that Federal Buyers Guide has partnered with Marcus Evans for some exciting government conferences. Here are some of the events that we'll be involved with:

2/23 - 2/25
6th Annual Military Energy Alternatives
As the DOD continues an organization-wide push toward energy independence the need to increase the use of renewable and alternative energy sources has become paramount. This year’s program will address key topics in alternative energy including recent battery and fuel cell technology, energy storage, energy and fuel conservation, energy security, power grid capabilities, and application of available alternative energies. The marcus evans 6th Annual Military Energy Alternatives Conference will bring together key stakeholders across the alternative and renewable energy community to discuss strategies for bolstering the existing energy infrastructure, augmenting power grid capabilities, advancing energy security, creating portable and lightweight alternative power options, and improving energy efficiency to compliment mission objectives.

3/30 - 3/31
Government Construction Contracts and Compliance
With dramatic changes in government procurement, contractors must be able to respond quickly. As the government continues to pass new compliance requirements, contractors need to understand the rules related to transparency in contracting, increased oversight, and mandatory reporting and disclosures.
This conference will provide in-house counsel, compliance officers and contract executives -- from first time construction companies looking to bid on government contracts as well as established government contractors -- updates on the new statutes and regulations in government contracting, as well as best practices in conducting effective compliance reviews to ensure their current ethics compliance program meets the government compliance requirements and detect violations before they result in enforcement actions, litigation or worse loss of business.

4/4 - 4/6
Information Assurance and Security
As concerns about the vulnerability of strategic information rises across government and military organizations, the ability to effectively secure information and assure its integrity increases substantially.
This year’s program will address key topics in IA and information security including cloud computing, cyber security, mission assurance, continuous monitoring, mobile technologies, social media, bolstering the IA workforce, and privacy protection.
The marcus evans Information Assurance and Security Conference will bring together key stakeholders across the IA and information security community to clarify recent policy changes, augmenting cyber security in information operations, advancing continuous monitoring processes, navigating challenges of securing information in a cloud-computing environment, and maximizing interagency interoperability of IA systems and networks.
